St. Landry Parish schools will be CLOSED for the Mardi Gras holiday on the following dates:

Students will return to school on Thursday, February 19.

It's Mardi Gras Time at Creswell Middle School! Friday, February 13, 2026 is our Mardi Gras Dress Out Day! Creswell Middle Students are allowed to wear a school appropriate “Purple, Green or Gold Shirt”or a school appropriate -”Mardi Gras”Shirt along with jeans for a cost of $2.00. Jeans must be school appropriate with NO Rips, Holes, and/or Tears in them. Students may celebrate and dress in all their Mardi Gras flair! It's carnival time!

Following our district-wide closure, we are pleased to announce that all schools and offices will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Please note that we will follow an Early Dismissal schedule to allow our faculty and staff to participate in planned professional development. Important St. Landry Parish School Board District-Wide Closure Notice
Please be advised that all St. Landry Parish School Board schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th, and Tuesday, January 27th, due to forecasted winter weather conditions. This decision was reached after consulting with the National Weather Service and the Office of Emergency Preparedness.
The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. All after-school activities, practices, and school or district-related events scheduled for these days are also canceled.
