If your child typically rides the bus, please ensure someone is available at home to receive them upon their early return. Grandparents Day has been rescheduled for September 19. RSVP Forms will be sent home tomorrow. Today, students are going home with Spirit Wear orders. There are still a few items that are not completed due to items on backorder.

3rd grade students in Mrs. Landry's Science Class are digging deep into the Balancing Forces Unit. The students and teacher are loving the hands on experiment as they investigate what makes an object move.

Good morning! Grand Coteau Elementary will be closed today. The water will be turned off to repair a water leak in the water tower. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The town of Grand Coteau has experienced a major leak in its water tower, causing the town to be without water for part of the day. As a result, Grand Coteau Elementary School will be closed today, August 15, 2023.

Good afternoon GCES. We are currently experiencing internet outages. This means that our phone lines are also down. This may have affected teacher timelines to prepare information to send home. We thank you in advance for your patience.
The first two days of school were amazing. The students and staff utilized the days to begin forming positive relationships, establish classroom routines and procedures, and to get students acclimated with the campus.


GCES Staff had a powerful and uplifting two days of Professional Development. One of the highlights was the staff drafting or reconnecting to their "WHY", the reason they became and remain an educator. We're are looking forward to a great year!!!
